The 2022 Trauma Webinar Series – Part Five: Organ Donation

This presentation will provide an overview of the collaborative approach process imperative to assuring all families can be informed of their loved ones’ opportunity to save lives through organ and tissue donation if they are deemed medically eligible by the organ procurement organization (OPO). Attendees will also be provided with information and clinical cues to make a timely referral to the OPO. A broad overview of the clinical management and organ recovery process will also be integrated into this presentation.

Learning Outcome(s)
At the conclusion of this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to discuss best practice when providing information and care to families regarding organ donation.
