Primary Care Grand Rounds - Risk Assessment with Tyrer-Cuzick 8: How to Manage Women at High Risk of Breast Cancer

This lecture will review the use of the Tyrer-Cuzick calculator to assess breast cancer risk at the time of mammography. Participants will learn about the risk assessment process, communication of results to patients and clinicians, and management of patients with high-risk scores, including advanced imaging, chemoprophylaxis, genetic counseling, and genetic testing.

1. Apply information from radiology reports to identify women at high risk for breast cancer or a BRCA-related hereditary cancer syndrome.
2. Manage patients at high risk for breast cancer, including those with identified genetic mutations, using evidence-based risk assessment and management strategies.
3. Describe the process of risk calculation and how to interpret the scores.
