Program

• Grand Rounds by Dr. Heather Haq, Chief Medical Officer for the BIPAI Network (Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative) and co-leader of the Baylor College of Medicine pediatrics/global health residency program.

• Abstract presentations

• Panel discussion on active Global Child Health educational collaborations

• Global child health education workshop (12 to 1 pm, restricted to the core PAGHEN leadership participants and the pediatric residents)

Abstract submissions
Please share your global child health scholarly projects! Students and trainees are encouraged to submit. Completed projects, innovative reports, works-in-progress, and abstracts previously presented in other forums are eligible. Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters, and a select sample will be invited to give oral presentations.

Abstracts should include: Title, Authors/Affiliations, Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
Abstracts should not exceed 300 words, with up to 2 figures or tables.

1. Describe the educational and clinical bidirectional collaborations that promote equitable, ethical, and sustainable partnerships to improve child health outcomes globally.
2. Design global health competencies into pediatric teaching and curriculum design.
3. Describe current global child health challenges, including their implications for pediatric education and clinical practice.

Registration is online only. There is no registration fee, but advance registration is required for planning purposes.
