What's New in Psychiatry for Primary Care Providers

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (6.00 hours), CME-Designated Participation Credit (6.00 hours)

This event will support primary care providers (MD/DO, APRN, PA) in caring for patients presenting with common psychiatric conditions and will provide practical tips on managing these conditions in the primary care setting and accessing specialty mental health support when needed. The event will also provide an overview of recent advances in the field such as novel medications and treatment recommendations.

1. Assess common psychiatric presentations in primary care.
2. Describe primary-care based treatment for common psychiatric conditions.
3. Determine when specialty mental health consultation or referral is needed.
4. Manage common challenging patient behaviors that may occur between clinic visits.

Registration is online and by credit card only. The registration fees are as follows:

• Professionals: $100

• Trainees: $50
