Presenter Biography
 
Tony Stevens, MS, LCMHC has been employed at Northwestern Counseling & Support Services since 2002 as the program manager of Emergency Services. He completed his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Vermont in 2002 and has been involved in Suicide Prevention work over the past 22 years. Tony is also an instructor for Team Two, an innovative program in Vermont that focuses on collaboration between law enforcement, dispatchers, EMTs and Crisis Teams. He is also co-facilitates a Survivor of Suicide Loss Support group that meets monthly in St. Albans.

1. Identify three risk factors for suicide.
2. Describe core elements of best practice clinical suicide assessment.
3. Locate resources for suicide prevention and safety planning.
