Overview

A bone marrow biopsy can be a stressful and painful procedure. To address this, the presenters conducted a clinical trial to evaluate using touch as a nursing intervention to minimize pain and anxiety during this procedure. This session will review the literature on using touch in nursing, discuss the clinical trial process, and share results. Nurses will gain an understanding of how to easily incorporate touch into their everyday practice.
