The 2023 - 2024 Trauma Webinar Series: Wilderness Trauma and the Chain of Survival

Injuries in the wilderness can be especially difficult to treat. Environmental exposure, difficult terrain, and lack of appropriate medical equipment can significantly complicate the care of injuries in these austere environments. The best care and outcomes for patients who are injured in wilderness settings depend on the active coordination and seamless integration of the entire trauma care system from injury to recovery: the Trauma Chain of Survival.
