Overview

Review and discussion of:

  • Potential risks of opioid agonists co-prescribed with benzodiazepines
  • Managing SUD care when stimulants and/or SSRIs are prescribed by non-MOUD providers
  • Strategies for care coordination between multiple providers regarding mental health and infectious disease
  • Following patients after a consultation with psychiatry (in rural areas with little access to psychiatry)
  • Medications review with patients after consolidation of prescribing

Learning Outcome
At the conclusion of this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to utilize at least two strategies for coordinating patient care with external prescribers in order to develop a unified plan of care that addresses the overall needs of patients with substance use disorder.
