Overview

Participants in Medicine Grand Rounds will be able to identify and apply the most current treatment guidelines and standards of practice to provide optimal patient care, incorporating the principles of evidence-based medicine and innovative strategies to achieve clinical quality and safety goals.

About our Presenter
Dr. Jose Greer completed his medical studies at La Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. He trained in Internal Medicine, served as Chief Resident, and completed post-doctoral fellowships in Hepatology and Gastroenterology at the VA/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. Dr. Greer was Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mercy Hospital in Miami before joining Florida International University where he served as Professor of Medicine. Driven by Social Justice and the need for diversity, equity, and inclusion, he joined Roseman University in 2020.

Learning Outcome
At the conclusion of this learning activity, (100% of) participants will be able to discuss the roles that clinicians from interprofessional health related disciplines play in achieving true health equity in America.
