About our Presenter
Dr. Charles Brackett is a primary care internist at DHMC who divides his time between seeing patients, teaching residents, and working in Population Health. He is the Primary Care Lead for behavioral health integration and the Director of the Opioid Addiction Treatment Collaborative at Dartmouth Health. 

Dr. Brackett is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine and earned his MPH at the Boston University School of Public Health. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cambridge Hospital in Massachusetts, fellowship in general internal medicine at Boston University, and a community medicine fellowship at Boston Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine.

Learning Outcome(s)

Participants will be able to review optimal management of chronic pain while discussing different subtypes of pain, and appreciating the potential harms of long-term opioid therapy, especially when harms exceed benefits.
