Overview

Behavioral health issues have recently worsened and reached crisis levels for young people. School counselors are observing increased anxiety, depression, trauma response, and suicidal ideation. This program will educate school staff, coaches, and other community members that support young people in accurately assessing mental distress and risk of harm in students.

Learning Outcome:
At the conclusion of this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to accurately assess mental distress and risk of harm in students in order to ensure the most responses that will best support mental health needs including overall coordination of care.
