This session focuses on incorporating active learning strategies into medical teaching sessions to enhance learner engagement and retention. Participants will explore techniques such as interactive discussions, case-based learning, and role-playing activities that can be integrated into their teaching. By applying these methods, educators can create a more dynamic learning environment that encourages critical thinking and collaboration. This session is ideal for healthcare educators seeking to enrich their teaching practice with hands-on, learner-centered approaches.

Target Audience
Anyone who is employed by Dartmouth Health and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth who teaches students.

1. Apply at least two active learning strategies in their teaching sessions.
2. Design interactive learning experiences that promote critical thinking and learner engagement.
3. Evaluate the impact of active learning techniques on student participation and knowledge retention.
