Presenter

Matthew Hand, DO
Section Chief, Pediatric Nephrology and Integrative Medicine
Dartmouth Health Children’s

About our Speaker:

Dr. Hand is the Section Chief of Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Integrative Medicine at Dartmouth Health Children’s. He is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, his Pediatric Residency at Maine Medical Center, a fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at Children’s Hospital Boston, and an Integrative Medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine. Dr. Hand developed the Division of Pediatric Nephrology for the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center in 1996.  Subsequently, he developed the Program of Integrative Medicine for children with chronic disease at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center in 2008. The program offered integrative care for both inpatient and outpatient children with chronic illnesses interested in complementary and alternative therapies.

He developed the Pediatric Nephology and Integrative Medicine program for the Elliot Health System to create an integrative pediatric specialty system deliverable to all pediatric patients throughout southern New Hampshire.
