2026 Taking Diabetes Back to School: session 1 of 3

Managing pediatric diabetes poses challenges in the school classroom setting and at home. This recorded webinar is an opportunity to learn ways to help students maintain blood sugar control in our current school climates. We will also view the latest diabetes technology. At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to discuss the most recent evidence-based updates in caring for children with diabetes in the school setting. This is the first of 3 unique sessions offered for the series.

Madeline Teller went to nursing school at Salve Regina University and took a few years to find that type 1 diabetes, specifically in the pediatric setting, was her passion!

Currently, Madeline is also in school for her MSN degree to become a CNL (certified nurse leader). She hopes to use this degree and credential to further the care provided to people with type 1 diabetes. Madeline loves being able to connect with families, caregivers, and kiddos about type 1 diabetes, as she has had it for 23 years! It is a frustrating disease that requires an art to managing at times.
