Overview

Aromatherapy is the art and science of utilizing naturally extracted aromatic essences (essential oils) from plants to balance, harmonize, and promote the health of the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Aromatherapy has gained popularity a safe and cost-effective complementary and integrative therapy. Please join us as we learn more about the evidence-based utilization of essential oils for personal well-being.

Schedule
There will be three one hour sessions of this program offered on May 6th. Participants can select which session they would like to attend on the registration form. Note, each session is limited to 8 participants.

  • Session 1: 1 to 2 pm

  • Session 2: 3 to 4 pm

  • Session 3: 4 to 5 pm


Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Define aromatherapy.
  2. Describe aromatherapy's historical development from early use to modern practice.
  3. Identify evidence-based applications of aromatherapy for personal use.

Registration is online only. There is no registration fee, but advance registration is required for planning purposes.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Dartmouth Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
