Overview

Many RNs and APPs have expressed desire to undertake a scholarly project which will lead to either a research poster or a manuscript suitable for submission for publication. However, many of the same individuals have expressed lack of knowledge of how to start or finish such a project and have expressed desire for guidance. This class will guide participants through each step of the process, including research question formation, literature search, critical appraisal of literature, creation of a comparative literature review spreadsheet, creation of a poster, and submission of poster to a professional organization or other appropriate forum.

Note: This event is open to Dartmouth Health healthcare professionals only.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify steps involved in developing a research question and conducting searches on PubMed and CINAHL.
  2. Describe key elements of scientific literature used in a comparative literature review.
  3. Outline the essential components of an effective research poster.

This event is open to Dartmouth Health healthcare professionals only.

Registration is online only. There is no registration fee, but advance registration is required for planning purposes.
