Overview

This session will provide an overview of atypical presentations of postpartum psychosis as well as strategies for successful follow-up and treatment. Our AIM implementation team and the NHPQC will briefly share administrative updates and relevant data from New Hampshire's birthing population. We will then hear from Julie Frew, MD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Obstetrics & Gynecology and Vice Chair for Education in the Psychiatry Department at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Dr. Frew will discuss the epidemiology, signs, and symptoms of postpartum psychosis before walking attendees through strategies for immediate management and treatment. We will end the hour with interactive case examples before opening up a Q&A session.
