Crafting a Professional Personal Statement

Are you a nurse planning to go back to school to be an Advanced Practice Provider? Could you use some help in crafting a unique personal statement to accompany your admissions applications? Please join Louise Wen, MD, as she shares her knowledge of personal statement crafting regarding applying for Advanced Practice Provider programs. As a professional personal statement coach with a specialization for medical professionals, Louise's goal is to teach people how to tell a compelling story in a way that helps programs more easily envision the type of trainees they will be in the future. If you are interested in receiving feedback on your personal statement during the workshop, please send a copy to [email protected] by November 11th. 

1. Develop an outline for a personal statement to effectively present one’s story, experiences, and skills.
2. Revise elements of a personal statement to highlight one’s strongest stories.

• All others: $25

Advance registration is required for planning purposes. The registration deadline is 5 days prior to the activity date. There will be no refunds after that date.
