Overview

This online workshop is designed to refine and advance the essential skills and techniques for experienced preceptors for successful and fulfilling precepting of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) students. By participating, you'll gain practical knowledge through real-life examples and have ample time for interactive discussions, enhancing your precepting abilities.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate self-assessment of readiness to offer an advanced precepting experience.
  2. Describe two of the processes within DH for setting up a precepting experience, including the preceptor's necessary checks to ensure that the process has been completed.
  3. Describe summative and formative strategies for effectively providing feedback to students.

Dartmouth Health designates this Enduring Material for a maximum of 2.00 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

All other learners may claim CME-designated participation credit. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of CME-designated participation credit for programs certified for credit by organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Education.
