Overview

This Pediatric Lecture Series will discuss important pediatric topics that may lead to the improvement of child health from an individual, health care system and/or societal level. This presentation provides information of screening, diagnosis and treatment options for adolescents with acne and pediatric dermatologic issues.

Dr. Su earned her undergraduate degree at Yale. She attended medical school at Johns Hopkins and completed her internship in internal medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital, followed by her dermatology residency and pediatric dermatology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. She enjoys seeing both adult and pediatric patients at DH in Manchester.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss the burden and impact of acne on the adolescent population.
  2. Describe evidence-based treatment recommendations for adolescent acne.
  3. Develop strategies for counseling on proper use of acne treatments and treatment expectations in order to improve adherence and outcomes.
