Overview

This session focuses on enhancing knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential for effective interprofessional education (IPE). Participants will learn strategies to foster collaboration among healthcare professionals from different disciplines. Through active learning and interactive engagement, the session aims to promote understanding of roles, communication, and teamwork in patient-centered care. The session is geared toward healthcare educators, clinicians, and professionals interested in improving outcomes through interprofessional practice.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Define interprofessional education.
  2. Discuss the benefits of interprofessional education.
  3. Describe the necessary elements to produce high-quality interprofessional education sessions.

Dartmouth Health designates this Enduring Material for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

All other learners may claim CME-designated participation credit. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of CME-designated participation credit for programs certified for credit by organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Education.
