Overview

The conference will focus on the need for collaboration in mental health care for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Recognizing the complex and multifaceted nature of these conditions, the conference aims to bring together professionals from diverse disciplines to explore innovative and different approaches to care. Experts representing various fields including psychology, psychiatry, pediatrics, occupational therapy, board certified behavioral analysts, individuals with lived experience, and family members will share their insights and experiences. Through interdisciplinary engagement, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with ASD and IDD, as well as the opportunities for holistic and person-centered care. The conference will feature keynote presentations and a facilitated panel discussion focusing on collaborative strategies, evidence-based interventions, and best practices in mental health care. Attendees will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and ask questions. The conference aims to facilitate a deeper understanding of interdisciplinary approaches to mental health care for individuals with IDD and ASD and offer a space for constructive dialogue and engagement.
