Overview

Nurses experience many stressful situations. The detrimental effects of stress are well-known and have far-reaching impacts. Stressful work environments result in mental and physical ailments that negatively impact our health and communities.

An ancient science, yoga is increasingly supported by modern science as a way to alleviate stress for better physical and mental health.

Violet Jones, MSN, RN, RYT – 200 – Self-Employed

About our Presenter
In 2021, Violet Jones moved to New Hampshire to work at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center as a Nurse Educator. A board-certified (ANCC) Nurse Informaticist, former paramedic, and nurse educator, Violet spent over fifteen years in the healthcare industry serving her former community in various roles as a field and flight paramedic, ICU/ER nurse, health sciences instructor, nursing instructor, and medical reserve volunteer. She is certified as a Yoga Alliance RYT 200-hour yoga teacher, a NASM personal trainer, and a meditation coach. Currently, Violet teaches yoga and meditation, writes, studies integrative health, and enjoys spending time exploring her new home of Vermont.
