Overview

NECWAM conference aims to bring together a range of medical providers across multiple disciplines to impart a common understanding of the pathophysiology and management of medical problems in austere environments.

Learning Outcome(s)
At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to apply “lessons learned” regarding the evidence-based care that promotes the health and safety needs of patients in a variety of wilderness settings.

 

Breakfast snacks, coffee, and full lunch will be provided. 

CME/CNE activities occur on October 28. Optional overnight will allow for networking in the evening and an optional morning group hike.

Registration is online and by credit card only. The registration fees are as follows:

  • Attending Physicians: $160
  • Non-Physicians: $80
  • Attendees in Training: $40

The registration deadline is 1 week prior to the activity date. There will be no refunds after that date. A $10 administrative fee for a registration fee of under $50, and a $25 administrative fee for a registration of $50 and over, will be retained on all refunds requested before the registration deadline. Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Dartmouth Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

American Medical Association (AMA)
Dartmouth Health designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 7.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
Dartmouth Health designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 7.75 ANCC contact hours. 

All other learners may claim CME-designated participation credit. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of CME-designated participation credit for programs certified for credit by organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Education.
