Responding to Youth in Distress ECHO: What About Us? Self-Care for Those Who Work With Young People

Supporting distressed students requires our best efforts while also taking an emotional toll.  This interactive, web-based learning series will provide school staff, coaches, and community youth leaders with ways to identify when stress impacts our work, and practical tools for managing stress and challenging situations.  This “booster” mini-series hopes to provide useful strategies early in the school year so that participants can maximize their effectiveness throughout the year. 

Learning Outcome
After participating in this activity, learners will be able to identify at least two challenges that interfere with maintaining one’s own stress level in order to create an individualized plan to manage personal stress.
