Overview

Caring for patients in Emergency Medicine settings provides its challenges, which are unique in the rural environment. With fewer resources and longer distances to cover we find a greater need and responsibility to provide education for clinicians working in these conditions. We are excited to continue the work of CREST in bringing you the latest medical knowledge from a panel of experts with a passion for teaching quality care.

Learning Outcome(s)
At the conclusion of this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to discuss at least three cutting-edge evidence-based practice applications in the overall care of emergently ill patients who present for intervention in emergency departments located in critical access settings.

Optional Hands-On Education (Pre-Registration Required)

  • OB Education (limited to 24 Participants, no residents): $40
  • Hypothermia & Splinting (limited to 16 participants): FREE

Preregistration is required. The registration deadline is 5 days prior to the activity date. There will be no refunds after that date. A $10 administrative fee for a registration fee of under $50, and a $25 administrative fee for a registration of $50 and over, will be retained on all refunds requested before the registration deadline. Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Dartmouth Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

American Medical Association (AMA)
Dartmouth Health designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
