Interprofessional Grand Rounds - Microaggressions/Subtle Acts of Exclusion in the Workplace and in our Personal Lives

Microaggressions/Subtle Acts of Exclusion are offhanded slights often directed at those with marginalized identities. These comments or actions are often unintended; however, have an impact and can negatively affect one’s workplace satisfaction and well-being. This presentation includes ways in which to respond to microaggressions/subtle acts of exclusion by calling people into conversation.

Learning Outcome
At the conclusion of this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to describe how to best cultivate an inclusive workplace by addressing three elements: implicit bias, microaggression, and subtle acts of exclusion.
