Overview

There are reports every day in NH of citizens being scammed. Large amounts of money are lost to overseas scams, or to exploitation at the hands of loved ones or trusted individuals. Through case studies, we will present on scams, how cases come to light, what happens when they are reported and the laws we work under including the Mandated Reporting law. Healthcare professionals will learn steps to take and resources available in the healthcare setting.

Learning Outcome
At the conclusion of this activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to discuss this issue of victimization through scamming including an interprofessional approach to patient/victim support.
