Overview

This learning activity which will provide an overview of the skills necessary to assess and initially care for a thermally injured patient. The session will address the establishment of resuscitation plans, initial burn wound management, and appropriate referral to a burn center.

Learning Outcome
At the conclusion of this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to describe the appropriate clinical intervention for thermally injured patients during the first twenty-four hours of care.
