DHC Pediatric Webinar - Pediatric Dermatology Potpourri: A Walk Through the Seasons

This Pediatric Lecture Series will discuss important pediatric topics that may lead to the improvement of child health from an individual, health care system and/or societal level. This presentation provides information on common pediatric dermatologic conditions, treatment approaches for common pediatric skin conditions, and pediatric dermatology evaluation.

Dr. Jillian Rork grew up in New Hampshire and attended Dartmouth College, where she majored in French, before earning her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed her training in dermatology and pediatric dermatology with a focus on caring for children with complex medical conditions and disabilities.

Dr. Rork’s clinical practice focuses on pediatric dermatology, with particular interests in inflammatory skin disease, infantile hemangiomas, acne, and dermatologic care for individuals with Down syndrome. Her research centers on immune dysregulation and skin disease in Down syndrome, with ongoing work focused on psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and cardiometabolic health. She is passionate about advancing education, advocacy, and access to care for individuals with disabilities.

1. Recognize key clinical features that distinguish common pediatric dermatologic conditions, including pityriasis alba, acne, impetigo, and infantile hemangiomas.
2. Apply practical, evidence-based treatment approaches for common pediatric skin conditions, including appropriate use of prescription topical anti-inflammatory medications, topical and oral antibiotics, and acne regimens.
3. Identify high-risk presentations and referral indications that warrant pediatric dermatology evaluation, particularly for acne and infantile hemangiomas.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Dartmouth Health is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 1.00 general continuing education credits.

Social Worker Account Setup
If you wish to apply for ASWB credit, you will need to enter your license number in your CE Profile by following these steps:

1. Log in to Dartmouth Health's CE portal (https://dh.cloud-cme.com).

2. From the My Account Menu, select Profile.

3. Ensure your degree and profession are accurately reflected.

4. Enter the state license type, License #, and Expiration date.

5. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click Submit

All other learners may claim CME-designated participation credit. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of CME-designated participation credit for programs certified for credit by organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Education.

You may claim credit for successful completion of this online course. In order to claim credit, you must follow these steps:

1. Click the Register tab above. If you are not logged into your account, you will need to log in. Use the Forgot Your Password? button if you need to reset your password.

2. Register for the activity.

3. Click the Content/Tests tab and then View Content to view the recording. View the entire presentation.

4. Complete the Post-Test (attestation - return to the Content/Tests tab to find it).

5. Click the Complete Evaluation button, or click My Account in the menu bar; then click Evaluations.

6. Complete and Submit the Evaluation.
