Game-Changing Experiential Activities for Interprofessional Team Development: One Activity at a Time

As healthcare professionals and leaders, we know that patient safety, enhanced patient experiences, workforce health, and cost-effectiveness are critical outcomes of care with an essential common root. They are all impacted by our ability to communicate effectively and respectfully within interprofessional teams! As important as effective communication skills are, it is challenging to develop, practice, and teach this skill set amid relentless, high-stakes, high-stress work. Fortunately, there are lots of simple experiential activities that can be used to build these skills. In this interactive workshop, we will explore four or more activities and will explain how to use them for your professional development and as a teaching strategy within teams.

Learning outcome(s)
After this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to explain how four experiential activities can be used to improve interprofessional communication and teamwork.

Advance registration is required for planning purposes. Please make every effort to register seven (7) business days in advance of the learning activity. We will not accept walk-ins or late registrants on the day of the learning activity.

There will be no refunds after this date. A $10 administrative fee will be retained on all refunds requested before the cancellation deadline.

The virtual conference meeting access link will be emailed to registered participants 24 – 48 hours prior to the start of the activity.
